Nestled within the North Naples Church campus, The Village School and Village Preschool has expanded the age range of children to include children attending school through the 8th grade. Mercedes-Benz Contributes to the Annual Village School Fundraiser

Knight-to-Remember-IIThe annual fundraiser hosted by The Village School on March 6, 2015 promoted the theme “A Knight to Remember at the Copacabana,” a catchy title for an event that attracts prominent business and non-profit leaders throughout the Naples, Florida community. Held at the Stand, “A Knight to Remember at the Copacabana” featured a 1960s supper club theme that invoked memories of the hallowed Rat Pack. With a live Rat Pack era band providing the music, over 200 guests danced the night away. In addition to the energetic theme, Myxnscents enhanced the mood of the crowd by allowing guests to create custom scents to take home. The World’s best cigar bar complemented the Rat Pack theme by featuring hand rolled cigars.

Several local businesses donated to the fundraiser, including celebrity chef Brian Roland, who donated a four-course home dinner party for eight lucky guests catered by his catering company, Crave Culinaire. Disney World provided the fundraiser with a two-night stay at its iconic resort. The highlight of the evening came when Mercedes-Benz of Naples put the stylishly designed E 350 sedan on the live auction block.

The Mercedes-Benz E 350 Contributes to a Record Breaking Fundraiser

Proceeds raised during the festive “Knight to Remember at the Copacabana” came to $228,000, which represents a nearly 50 percent increase from the amount of money raised during the 2014 event. The Village School plans to invest all of the proceeds in the continued expansion of the school’s innovative STEAM and competitive robotics program. The acronym STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math. The Village School has already announced the primary fundraising goal for the 2016 event. Proceeds from the 2016 event should significantly boost funding for the effort to enlarge and improve the athletic fields at the school.

Jennifer Ferris, who chairs the fundraising committee, thanked the sponsors and financial supporters for donating to the event. “It was a spectacular evening for the parents and community members to support our school. We have amazing science and technology programs that benefit all students Pre-K to 8th grade. All these programs are teaching our students, critical thinking, and problem solving and preparing them for the tech and science jobs in the real world. ,” said Ferris.
